Sonoma Horse Park & Headlands Management Update

April 17, 2020

Due to the uncertainty of the California State and County guidelines regarding COVID-19, we feel we must cancel our May horse shows, the SHP Spring Classic, May 6th – 10th and the HMI Equestrian Challenge, May 13th – 17th.

None of the entries sent in were charged nominating or stall fees.

All entries sent in for the May shows will be destroyed.

We hope to see you in June for the HMI June Classic, June 10th – 14th. This show has been cancelled.

Entries for the HMI June Classic are available on https://showgroundslive.com/headlands, Equestrian Connect, Sonoma Horse Park and Headlands Management websites.

We thank you for your patience and support during these difficult times.

Stay safe and give your horse a hug,

Best,
Sally, Sarah and the Sonoma Horse Park Management Team.

Sonoma Horse Park - Update: Moving Forward for May

March 25, 2020

At Sonoma Horse Park the health of our riders, trainers, sponsors, and spectators is our top priority, as such we have been carefully considering how to move forward in this uncertain time. Today the USEF announced that the nationwide suspension for all rated shows will extend to May 3rd, 2020. At this time our plan is to host the SHP Spring Classic, May 6th-10th, 2020 and HMI Equestrian Challenge May 13th-17th, 2020 based on the latest USEF recommendation.

We will be sending out updates as we receive more information. Barring further changes from the USEF, or any state or county guidelines regarding COVID-19, our May horse shows will run as planned. If we are able to run our two weeks of shows in May we will follow the guidelines from the CDC and Sonoma County to ensure we have necessary washing stations and follow any and all protocol. While we will likely have some modifications to our VIP and other areas, we are confident that if we are able to run our May shows they will be wonderful events held to our top standards.

We know that the Bay Area was at the forefront of the shelter in place for California and we think it is very important to have fluid and flexible plans during this time.  If you enter any event at Sonoma Horse Park that is cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic you will receive a full refund of your deposit.

Best,

The Sonoma Horse Park Management Team
